Subiaco Academy has two residence halls:

Heard Hall – A classic two-story dorm, each room houses two students with individual desks, dressers, and closets. Students share communal bathrooms and enjoy access to a recreation room with a ping pong table, gaming, TV, and hangout space.

Fuhrmann Hall – Built in 2015, this modern residence features six apartment-style pods, each with its own bathroom, living area, and kitchen. Most pods house six students, while one larger pod accommodates twelve with two bathrooms and expanded space.

Each student has a space to call his own—and a community to grow with.

Weekends at Subiaco are a mix of rest, recreation, and community. Students can participate in planned activities like movie nights, hiking trips, sports, local outings, and spiritual practices like mass and prayers. With 1,600+ acres to explore and plenty of space to unwind, weekends offer a healthy balance of freedom, fun, and faith.

Meals are served daily at the Academy building adjacent to the dorms with plenty of snacks and water available for students in between. 

Weekdays:

• Breakfast is from 7:20 - 7:50 AM
• Lunch has two periods 10:50 - 11:20 AM, and 11:45 AM- 12:15 PM,
• Dinner is from 6:00 - 6:30 PM

Weekends:

• Breakfast is 7:00 - 8:00 AM (cold) and 8:00-9:15 AM (hot)
• Lunch is 12:00- 12:30 PM
• Dinner is 6:00 - 6:30 PM

There are laundry facilities inside each dorm for students to do their laundry. At the beginning of each year, students will receive a tutorial about the logistics and how to operate the machines. 

Many boarders with local families and guardians choose to bring laundry home with them on the weekends.

Dry cleaning service can be arranged upon request.

Your son’s health and safety are our priority. The Health Officeoversees the medical care and wellness of all Subiaco students. Under the leadership of our on-campus RN Nurse Barbara, students receive prompt and appropriate care. A nurse is always on call, and if further treatment is needed, our Residential Life staff will arrange immediate transportation to the appropriate medical facility.

For day students: Parents are asked to keep their child home if they are feeling unwell. If a day student arrives at school and becomes too sick to remain, Nurse Barbara will contact the family to coordinate pickup.

For boarding students: Students who become ill are monitored by Nurse Barbara and may spend the day recovering in the campus Infirmary. Once they return to the dorm, residential staff can administer approved medications to support continued care.

Absolutely! Many of our students find the use of laptops and tablets invaluable. When you arrive, you will register with our technology department, which will allow you to access the internet via our high speed wireless network.

Students tend to bring significantly more street clothes than necessary. With the limited space in the student’s closet for storage, it is highly recommended that the student bring less casual attire.

The following items are suggested:

• 3 pairs of pants
• 2-3 pairs of shorts
• 5 recreation T-Shirts (No offensive logos or language)
• 1 heavy warm coat
• 2 sweaters Sweatshirt/Hoodie Pajamas
• 7 pairs of underwear
• 7 pairs of athletic socks
• 5 pairs of Dress socks
• 1 pair of dress shoes* Required - Oxford, loafer, or dress boots - Not hiking boots
• 2 pairs of athletic shoes
• 1 or 2 pairs of shower shoes
• 2-3 belts
• 1 swimsuit
• 1 umbrella
• 1 pair of warm gloves Bath towels/washcloths
• 1 blanket/comforter
• 2 sets of sheets and pillow cases - XL Twin Pillow
• Alarm Clock
• Laundry Detergent/dryer sheets
• Laundry Hamper/Basket
• Shaving cream/razor, shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant
• Clothes hangers
• Footlocker/storage bin

Do not bring: Stovetop, candles, incense, microwave, knives, pets, etc. For more information of what not to bring, please check the student handbook on the website.
