Life Anchored In Christ

Subiaco is a second family that has shaped my values and provided lifelong connections through its strong alumni network.

-Aaron Roker, Class of 2026

Faith is a way of life on the Hill. Guided by the Rule of St. Benedict and the teachings of the Catholic Church, our students grow spiritually through prayer, reflection, service, and community. Every part of the Subiaco experience is shaped by our mission to see Christ in each student and to form young men who live with purpose, humility, and compassion.

In the Classroom

One of the founding principles of the Great Books program is that faith and intellect go hand in hand. In our theology courses and across disciplines, students are encouraged to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and connect their learning to the larger truths of the Christian faith.

In Practice

Opportunities for daily Mass and communal prayers with the monks, Eucharistic Adoration, regular recitation of the rosary, cultivation of praying with the scriptures (Lectio Divina), nighttime Compline with the monks for boarders, and regular times for confession, create a rhythm of worship that grounds campus life. At Subiaco, students are not only immersed in the faith, but they also have the opportunity to live it every day.

In the Community

Annual grade-specific retreats, service projects, peer-to-peer mentorship and tutoring, and acts of compassion help students turn belief into action. These experiences challenge young men to grow in humility, empathy, and purpose, forming lives of faith that serve others. Brotherhood is not just a word but a way of life that is cultivated at Subiaco.
