Your Guide to Financial Aid Opportunities

Your Guide to Financial Aid Opportunities

Applying for financial aid can seem overwhelming, but with the right approach, you can significantly reduce your educational expenses. Here are key strategies to help you navigate the process:

1. Apply Early
Financial aid is often first-come, first-served. By starting early, as early as March, you maximize your chances of receiving the full amount of available aid. Students who wait until August to apply may see a decrease of as much as 70-80% in funding.

2. You Don't Have To Pay Back Financial Aids
Unlike college loans, we offer financial aid that doesn't need to be repaid. Each year at Subiaco, we distribute approximately $1 million to about 80% of students, sometimes covering as much as 90% of their tuition. That's free money you don't have to pay back.

3. Know the Numbers
- Average day student financial aid: Around $3,500
- Average seven-day boarding student financial aid: Approximately $14,800
- Additional scholarship opportunities can provide up to $4,000
- Programs like the LEARNS Act can offer up to $7,000

Adding all of that together, that's about 90% of your Subiaco tuition covered.

4. Our Staff Will Guide You Through The Process of Applying
- Check school-specific scholarships
- Look into state programs like ACE
- Combine different aid sources strategically
